In the heart of the Dolomites, the Boutique Hotel Schgaguler has been renovated with 8 suites, a restaurant, swimming pools and an ice room.
At the South Tyrolean Schgaguler Hotel in Castelrotto (Kastelruth) at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi, you can admire the amazing transformation of an 80s building into an elegant modern boutique hotel. The hotel is hardly recognisable and looks like an entirely new building. The three existing buildings have been complemented by an additional attic storey and a uniform façade. The former potpourri of round arches, wooden balconies and turrets has been replaced by a simple and timeless design scheme. The new façade is now refined, white, linear, with large window fronts and transparent balcony balustrades.
The elegant simplicity inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design continues inside. The rooms and suites are furnished in a minimalist, timeless style with custom-made chestnut wood furniture and selected design classics. The view extends to the Schlern massif, and from the Town Suite you can look through a 13-metre-long glass front directly onto the historic town centre.
The spacious wellness area, built in 2002, features two indoor pools, an outdoor whirlpool, a sauna area with a relaxation room, a beauty department and a fitness room. The restaurant serves alpine Mediterranean dishes and – just like the bar – offers magnificent views of the Dolomites.
Guided ski safaris with Gottfried
The skiing area Alpe di Siusi can be reached from the hotel in only five minutes driving time. The ski bus, which starts in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, departs every 10 minutes to the lifts of the Alpe di Siusi. Characterized by the slightly flatter slopes, the sunny location and the extensive culinary offer the Seiser Alm is the ideal skiing area for families and pleasure skiers.
The Alpe di Siusi ski area also enjoys a legendary reputation among freestyle fans: the Alpe di Siusi Snowpark is one of the best snow parks in Italy and offers 1. 5 kilometers of variety for beginners and professionals.
Three to four times a week hotel guests are accompanied by Gottfried Schgaguler on various ski safaris. We adapt the program of excursions to the wishes of our guests. Among the organized ski safaris are the Sella Ronda and the mountain hunter's round which cross the whole Dolomite area. On the various excursions you will be taken to the most beautiful and best ski huts to stop for refreshments. The retreat becomes a culinary experience.
